Subject: RE: Cash Rent For Winter Pasture

Around here winter pasture is .35 to .40 cents a day per head. Most all pasture is rented by AUM's here 10-12 dollars winter ( just cow) owner takes care of them, 20-23 dollars for summer( thats cow-calf pair) for full care. Same price for bulls per head. Nobody pastures yearlings here.

As for fencing, that is plenty high fiqures, I would try and get price down to a $1 a ft. for a 4 wire barb. fence. Lower their feed cost, if they build fence for you. Give a five year lease if they build the fence. Labor should be around 750-900 dollars a 1/4 mile of fence, you buy wire & posts.

Also have it wrote into contract, when pasture is gone, they go home, they can't grub it down. List a stubble height, etc. so everybody knows up front.
