| Wonder if you could find a metal fabricating shop and have a flat plate of stainless cut in the diameter of your cooker. Then you could just put the plate on the cooktop and the cooker on the plate. My old National (Presto) and slightly less old Mirro don't leave marks on my black solid surface. When canning meat I've had both of mine going at the same time and haven't damaged my top. Wish I would as I hate the thing and when it goes I'm going gas.
