Subject: Re: electric grid heat under tile floor

Sounds ike your house is settup a lot like ours. Kitchen is on the north & northeast. Laundry room is on the northwest & bathroom outer wall is on the west between the laundry & office with living room running the entire length of the south wall & a dinning room between the kitchen & living room. We have 3 zones, one thermostat in the kitchen for it, laundry, & bath. 2nd thermostat in the living room for the office, dining, & living rooms & third upstairs. For the grid heat there will be a thermostat in the bath & one in the kitchen. Laundry is always cold in the winter & we usually have to put an electric heater out there so I'm considering setting it up on a separate zone for the boiler as there won't be floor heat out there (room was remodeled last winter).
