N/E Iowa | John, I had a 2006, 700 efi for 4 years... It was a good machine, I had to put a fuel pump in it but other than that good all around ranger. Then last year I traded for a 2011 800 EFI..... And what a HUGE difference, power steering makes it effortless, speed down the road on the 06' was 45 mph, the 2011, 800 will run 60 all day. You will have a gauge panel on the "newer" ones, fuel, mph, total miles, timer, water temp.. I got the electric over hydraulic dump box....(A must if picking up alot of rocks).
If it comes down to $$ Look at a 2006 or newer. I dont know anything on the Older one's. Had mine one year now and have over 2,300 miles running around farm to farm. And i didn't drive it from Nov 1st, to March 1st because of the cold and snow.. Couldn't be without one.
My 2006 700 EFI was priced at 6,200.00 after i traded it in. I bought it in 07' for 6,900.00.
Last year I bought a "left over" 800 EFI for 10,250.00. Thats with winch, half windshield, lift box, roof, 10 ply tires, and wire & switch for my sprayer. ( 1,700.00 options). Good luck... (Look for stress cracks around the A arms, front and back)
