It looks like a pretty nice ride. I would think the miles r okay but it is an engine and they do go down for a variety of reasons. As for the 3406e it is an awsome engine, i have same thing in a w900 and love it. 18 spd tranny is a good one. I think the sides could be bigger. Should treat u good. I say go for it.
