| enjoy the drenching humidity and heat in the river valley, was there last Aug, despite the weather we enjoyed it. the falls park was neat, the kids liked identifying the many fossils on the river bed...I imagine there is even less water in the river this year......as mentioned the bat factory is all right, they had a authentic Norman Rockwell art exhibit at the museum which was enjoyable. priceless collection. we stayed in Clarksville In, (right across the river) the people are very nice. we found great southern hospitality at our hotel Holiday Inn Clarksville, they had a great buffet and both an indoor and outdoor pool, (there is also a six flags park adjacent to the hotel), some reviews of the establishment have yielded negative reports, may want to research first, tip. they have a section in the back of the hotel which is run down, and the entire back section should be avoided. the front parts are OK. | |
