We replaced a 986 with a NH TS135a mfwd which I thick is pretty much the same tractor, Basically it has taken over not only what we did with the 986 but everything we were doing with our 1486. Just so much more comfort and ease running it. Use it on a 8rn Kinze ith interplants, all our baling and raking, just handles everything we thrown at it, even pulls a 33ft IH 45 field cultivator. If you can at all afford it get the MFWD you'll never regret it
