Thumb of Michigan | Your plan and crop year very closely mirrors mine, Tyler. Any acre that I have that could be other corn or soys will be soys next year. I still have the ability to switch an additional 20% of my farm to soys after returning to about 50/50, and may not make the decision to do so until closer to planting.
I haven't done any calculations for my farm yet as to what kind of corn price it'll take to justify the higher priced inputs yet. Shooting from the hip, it'll take more than it is now to entice me to change my planting intentions today. | |
