Subject: 12 combines, 3 grain carts, 10 trucks in 125 acres - Canadian Foodgrains Bank

Rivers, MB
Our community has a local growing project for raising money for Canadian Foodgrains Bank. We get as many inputs as we can donated and then local farmers do all the work. We had our harvest day yesterday for one of our fields. Had 12 combines, 3 grain carts, and 10 trucks (only used 6 because they were a bit overloaded and the field didn't yield quite as much as we had hoped). Took us 1 hr and 20 minutes to harvest 125 acres. It was slow going because there was a lot of straw for 61 bu/ac winter wheat. Had been hoping for 70-75 bu/ac. had a lot of fun and a great day for harvesting. Thought I'd show a few pictures. CaseIh was not represented very well! 1 Cat, 4 New Hollands, and 7 JD's (including a S690 which took in a rock in the first 10 feet!). It was hard to get all the equipment in one picture. Pictures don't do it justice.
