Subject: 2388 pre-cleaner update installed

i went a head and ordered it monday and today i got to install the pre cleaner on the 2388. it wasn't a perfect fit i had to do a little modification but i think it will. now the real test will be if i can go more than 20 some hours before it is all plugged up. there was a tube on the pre cleaner and well there was another tube on the exhaust so i got another hose and connected them but my only problem is will it hurt anything by not having that chamber with the flapper in it, or should i just disconnect the hose what are your guys thats. number 22 on the case parts page http://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts-search.html#epc::mr02-370ar02-...

the pre cleaner was the same size as the air cleaner housing so i needed to make some cuts into my new 200.00 part. i put gorilla tape around were it connects to cover up were my cuts were, and also the holes in the tin by the radiator were already predrilled for the pre cleaner to bolt to. i just hope it works.
