It's been so long since I've messed with this stuff, but I was thinking the angle is 2 degrees off from the earlier heads. I think you can bolt up Vortex heads to an earlier block, just have to use a Vortex or aftermarket manifold. I remember after they come out, Edelbrock made a manifold for such a deal, (I think!)
