Boyd, WI | I'll assume more beans this far north. Had the worst drought locally we've ever had, and N prices are through the roof around here. Knowing the farmers as a whole in the area, they're too cheap to put in too much corn this next season. I for one see local basis narrowing already for '08 beans. A few bins were designated for beans, but were filled with corn due to such a short crop. I plan to go back to 50/50 from 75/25. | |
