i would bet your tractor has 9980 on it now. The same thing happened to us awhile back. bought a low hour 7110, i believed it showed 1900 when we bought it. Many years after buying it we pulled the cluster to put in a flasher switch, and had "add 3600hrs" written on it. Ran it for many years after that, traded it off while showing 8400 on the cluster, it actually had 12,000.
