Eastern Ont

Tnfarmer - 8/6/2012 21:49 Well they could be but they were just fine when I parked it last year. Not picking on anyone here just stating how crazy these prices are at all dealers really not just CIH. Sorry if I offended you..............pretty hard for us few small guys that are left to pay these prices and make any money at all. No I don't want to get bigger and be a bto, I guess when it gets where I'm consistantly going backwards with revenue from the farm I'll just quit and let a bto have my place, that's where all of this business is going anyway...........

Jeff

No offence taken, I was just trying to get people realize its not all CIH fault

Steel has gone up

I bitch about the prices just as much as you do,

If you order the kits ahead of time you can sometimes get another 5-10%off

900/1000 corn head rebuild   WORESE CASE SCENARIO

deluxe kit knives chains, and idlers 438.26/row

Weed knives front and back 117/row

If your supports are done add another 483/row

Thats a 1038 bucks/row

Complete roll and chain assembly b92766a (new rolls, spiralls, augers, chains, idlers, lower supports,) $1229/row       extenda wear chains is 1130??

How are the square drives in the gears box ? that can add another 100-200 bucks a row there

So if you want to rebuild your head to new you are looking at 1000-1500 in parts/row  just to start

6 row head 6-9000 in parts plus labour

Something you have to remember when looking at used corn heads
