Eastern NC | What is a fair lease price for a new combine? I can not see how using the trade figure is even comparable to leasing a machine because when you lease a machine you are paying for the opportunity to run a combine for X amount of hours and then turning it back into the lease company. In my opinion that is no different than buying a combine running it X amount of hours and then selling it. That is where my cost of 2.30 per acre was generated from. If I figure the cost per acre based on the trade price then I would be very close to 16/acre which I still consider a good number considering that most guys in my area would charge from 32-35 per acre to custom pick for me if I do the hauling. | |
