North Central Illinois | Yep. If they have way above average yields down there that helps to a degree to pick up the slack a little is several counties in the cornbelt that are struggling. Not a huge deal but not totally insignificant in the grand scheme of things as the perma bulls would like you to think.
Edit: Okay, I said it's not a huge deal but not totally insignificant. What would we be hearing if they were burned up with well below average yields down there? I'll guarantee you that the Spin Doctor to the southwest of here would be whining and crying about how this is just another nail in the coffin or whatever. Guys, I'm not saying all is well and we are headed for a good crop. I realize everyone's favorite resident expert wants to make it seem that way. Fine whatever. Right now I'll guess we come in at 10 billion bushels or slightly above. Does that make me bearish?
