Subject: JD 9660 high torque HD reverser problems

Nwmo
The reverser seems to be filling with oil to the point it runs out the top breather, and it is doing this without being run with the feeder house locked up. My guess was the electric/hydraulic reversing system had a seal out. I bought a new piston and all the seals I could find on jdparts and started to tear into it by taking the back cap off that shifts from forward to reverse. I removed the piston but I can still see oil leaking from around the shifting fork into the cavity where the piston belongs. That pretty much tells me that when the piston has oil in it and pressure from the tank being up high that is how my reverser filled up with oil this winter. My question is has anyone had this problem? if so do you have to split the reverser to put a new seal around the shifting fork? How big of a deal is it to split the reverser?

Thanks
Devin
