Jay in WA has extremely consistent fields and soil types, he plans for 300 bpa and often gets it, if he says he did 294 bpa you can hang your hat on that was the field average, we have cool nights, which is a must for those yields, this year I will apply well north of 300 units of N I will never see the same yields as Jay or Ben in the Basin but the high 200s are possible here, we feel there is no better time to throw the inputs at a crop than this year, high heat pollination is a big factor for killing big yields here as well as anywhere.
