| I would agree with your general numbers and your assessment of the last few growing seasons.... For me, the difference between good and excellent corn is maybe not so much just the condition it is in on August 5 or whatever, but more of a reflection on whether the field has a consistent picket fence stand all the way across, or if it has some great corn, some drowned out terraces, some weeds, etc etc. I know that's not scientific USDA methodology, but those are the things that impact what goes out the unloading auger of the combine. | |
