If your looking at ones with emmissions crap on them, I would go with an 8r. The dpf filter is away from the engine and electrical wires, only negative is its at the cab corner.

The 7r is under the hood within inches of oil, a/c and electrical wires. That's why the whole top is mesh. 1500 degrees that close to everything is a very stupid design in my opinion.

Have heard from a deere service tech that few have burnt and mother deere had it happen in pre production but didn't change anything.
