north central Oklahoma | The few beans I did plant were mudded in and didn't show a stand worth saving, bo we quit and went to corn the next day. Glad we did. Beans are a wreck, while corn, although I think I may have lucked out on the extended warm period for maturity, is prolly close to 70-80bps by most guesses. We have prolly picked enough off checking it to knock off a bushel or two, lol. Still running above 26% this week. The one field of 96 day I had out is anywhere from 14% to 25%, so hopefully I can get it picked in next few weeks maybe, I don't really know. The 110 day is likely after Christmas. Most are advising me to let nature take care of some of the drying expenses and store it for free in the field while athe prices rally after January. Let's hope so. | |
