But a good education would have increased your odds significantly. There are guys who beat the odds every day, though, and you may well be one of them.
School can do more for a person besides improve their odds for success, and even if you succeed, you will have "failed" education-wise, and really missed out. School is expensive, but your tuition will most likely be much higher.
In my opinion, the best part of knowledge is the realization that you know far less than you previously thought, and you "learn" where to go for help.
