Subject: Re: Drought into the fall = HOW MUCH FALL NH3?

We ran one farm in the fall of 2010 with 170 pd actual N (nh3) in the dry soil. Came back and ran soil samples after the corn was up and it called for more N so we sidedressed another 85pd of 28%. The field went 220, two check strips with only fall N went 200, twenty bu less. The APH on this field is 190 so it was good corn but it was better sidedressed. We bought our own toolbar also. I want to be able to put nh3 on whenever I want to. Its to important. This field was beanstubble with fall applied DAP.
