Western Australia | As a grain grower in Western Australia I would be very interested to know what you guys in the USA pay for your crop insurance. I pay about 0.7 - 0.8% of farm gate value.But, we can only insure for fire and hail and get hit with a 5 % excess if we have a claim. How have you convinced or conned John Citizen the tax payer of the USA to contribute to what seems like a win win for you guys every year. Every time MPCI gets talked about in Australia the premiums quoted dont justify it. Looking forward to some intelligent responses. | |
