If the J1 is the 3 lead line just below the ECU, then the issue is the ECU, since unplugging the 3 wire connector brought up 72E.
So we have another 9600 combine 155 serial numbers earlier, still the same year, but a "corn" machine vs the "small grains" machine with the apparent bad ECU. Would we be alright swapping ECU's to confirm a bad ECU, or not? H09600X651460 vs H09600X651605 (bad ECU) both have BOSCH 0 281 001 058 RE 28320 ECU's.
