Subject: RE: "Better buy while it is cheap"

Saskatchewan, big whitetail country!!!
The average price of land where I come from is about 375 an acre. Pasture land is 200, top grain land is MAYBE 500. For some of the most productive land in western Canada. Why would any farmer who owns land worth 7000, not sell, and retire, or sell 300 acres down there, and buy 4500 up here? There is obviously more money in american farming or something. I guess some of it is the cheap inputs, and the other reason is higher wheat prices?
