Faunsdale, AL | I agree, it's just the SOURCE of the energy that I differ with you about. Cow can turn a lot of that rough forage into milk which is perfect for the calf. Calf can't do much with the same forage, so if you have that kind of feed, use it for both cows and calves by leaving them together.
If it doesn't work, cows are loosing condition, then reevaluate the program, either supplement the cows, creep the calves, or wean the calves. | |
