NCIN
There isn't a silver bullet for getting big yields on soybeans. Takes a lot of little things plus some ground is just not capable of raising good beans. One of the reasons some guys grow corn after corn after corn..........

A few things that may or may not work for you:

1. Check for compaction
2. They don't like it wet
3. Scout for bugs
4. Get a good soil test and make sure your fertilizer isn't tied up in the soil. PH should be in the area of 6.5 to7.0
5. I use a little 21%N in the fall. Helps with decomp on the corn fodder plus helps the bean plant along if it cannot make enough N itself. However, many agronomists insist it will not help. I say anything green can use some N.
5. Don't plant too thick.
6. Plant early
7. Don't plant too deep. Also need a real good seed bed for proper soil to seed contact.
8. Use good hearty seed and a late maturity for your area.
9 Fungicide may work in your area
10. Harvest early, say at 14-15% moisture will cut field losses. You'll have to run the numbers to make sure not too much of a dock when selling.
