ND | I'm with Po on this one. It is greed because obviously you're not happy with what insurance is guaranteeing, yet you knew going in what kind of guarantee you had with the spring price. Now that it appears the harvest price will be better you want to try to pull out all the stops to rake in as much money as you can, probably without ever harvesting a bushel of corn. Insurance isn't there for you to get rich on. If you aren't harvesting or handling bushels of actual crop and you are involved in the markets you are a speculator, plain and simple. You would think after a tough year guys would be happy just to survive to see next year. | |
