Live in Forsyth, Missouri Farm in N, MO | As dry as it is will having taller stalks of corn help an ear fill out more than a short stalk? Or does it make any difference? We have some that are 5' tall and pollinated and some that are 9' tall and pollinated. Some with no ears, some have nubbins, but most have ears with 12 or 14 rows and anywhere from 30 to 40 kernals long; they just need to fill out and was just wishful thinking that the taller stalks might help a bit....because it looks like 100+ temps and no rain in sight |
