I AI my cows using natural heat detection. Since a cow is only in heat for about 18 hours on average I usually turn them out with the bull a few days later. Everything is recorded of course so next year when they calve you should know by the calender if it was from AI. If you're syncing I'd wait 2 weeks to turn the bull out if you want to know the sire.
