Brant Ontario, Canada | Scouted a field a bit today that is in the middle of a thick bush and I think there are quite a few deer around, among other critters. I'm positive I heard a deer take off through the field when I was looking around.
Anyways there are a lot of plants that are damaged/clipped off at the stalk above where the ear comes out. Here are some pictures. I couldn't find any bugs on or near the affected areas of the problem plants. There seem to be a lot of leaves on the ground near any areas this is happening. Sometimes there is a plant totally unaffected and 15 around it is trashed.
Is this the kind of problem that I need to solve with my 30-06 or crossbow?
