southcentral nebraska | Richard Brock was on Agday and said we are in a weather market. Yes, but weather markets usually overshoot the problem and end quickly. We are past that now, now we have a shortage of grain. It is caused by the weather, but much more serious. Our grain shortage won't be ending till the harvest of 2013 if things go well next year. In other words, this is not going to be a short bull market. These prices will go up from here. I'm thinking store the grain and wait till next February when the acreage battle begins. I think we'll see the highs then. I think todays grain prices will look cheap in February. If I were a feeder, and planned on staying in the business, I would be buying as much 8 dollar corn as I could right now . | |
