Subject: Re: John Deere 3020

Since its a constant pressure system, a leak anywhere will lead to hot oil. There are great differences between the pre side console and the side console 3020 (and 4020) where almost all that is in common between the two is the oil and closed center, constant pressure.

The leak may be in the rock shaft piston or control or any valve or pipe. Separate those phenomena by running it without lifting the three point for as long a time as you have had to loss of lift capability to see if the oil is heating somewhere else, like a brake valve, steering valve, pump control, or differential lock valve.
