In 1988 our worst corn was the largest selling hybrid by the largest selling company in the United States and we haven't planted a bag from that company since 1988. This year will seprate some genetics and companies lineups. We have 3 other numbers from Dekalb that seem a lot better then DKC62-09, but this one hybrid can cost us to reevaluate who we buy seed from.
Good to hear, not every one is pleased with the big M. They all can have one that is a homer in a good year but can fail in a stress year.
I am thinking buying seed for next year will be a challenge, for both the buyer and seller. |
