Subject: Re: I stepped outside

Putnam Co, Indiana

I have 110 acres of corn in my name.  I'm trying to summon up the nerve to call up the elevator and sell 1000 bushels for the fall @ around 7.50.  But as of right now I'm too chicken to sell 9 bu/ac corn.  That's not fun.  We got our first measurable rain since May 30th on Saturday.  0.05"  That's not fun.  I'd much rather have something green to look at, at night so I'm not so damn depressed.  I have crop insurance and I'll certainly live.  But watching a crop fail completely day after day after day feels like it's taking years off my life.
