Subject: Re: question on tile in drought

SW Indiana
The best field of corn I have this year is in a creek bottom where I installed some tile last fall to drain a couple of bad wet spots. That corn looks good. A few feet away< where the tile didn't reach into a few lesser wet spots, the corn was stunted by some early rains and failed to put on an ear. So, at least in my case I was much better off with the tile than without it, even though we're in a terrible drought.
