East Central Arkansas | We have been cutting them out of the cotton from early in the season. We being Karen and myself but I have to admit she has cut more than I have. While the cotton was still small we were riding the 4 wheeler through the fields looking for them. I stopped and cut a lot of them while running the cultivator plowing furrows and also when I came back with the hoods. While spraying insecticides with the SP sprayer I drop flags on the end of the field so I can find the weeds later. Back years ago when my son was just old enough to start working on the farm and we had just started farming some ground that had some pretty severe weed pressure, mainly johnson grass, we had a cub farmall with a fifty gallon tank and a five row boom for spot spraying. He rode a many of mile on that thing for a couple years. | |
