Is the whole field gone, let me give you an example here.

100 acre field
95 acres damaged
Fert dealer pays for 95 acres coverage
Federal Crop Insurance is removed from 95 acres.
Harvest 5 ac. and use yeild there.

Just something to consider, I have seen something similiar to the above situation.
Just make sure your agent understands the law here.
