A 4500 is a plate planter. That combined with the individual coulter drives make it a difficult planter to operate. I have a 1988 7010 Buffalo which is center drive (means it has a transmission drive setup) and Knize platless planter units. The bolt moving for different depth settings make it plenty difficult to operate. I do like the planter for ridge till but it doesn"t work that well for no till. It doesn't close the seed slot all the time. I would not recommend a 4500 for no till based on my experiences with my Buffalo planter.
