If I hired an employee, I would certiantly want one that thought they were worth more then min wage. If they go in thinking they are only worth min wage, then that's probably all they are worth.
I have to disagree with that notion. I'd rather hire the applicant that's a little more humble, but wiling to show what they can do. The biggest talkers rarely deliver the best results.
As for the application, I think writing in the minimum wage is the way to go. After all, we're talking about a dishwashing job here, not Fortune 500 management.
