Panhandle of Ne. | Seen Reba and Trisha Yearwood together there several years ago and they put on an excellent show. Be aware there is at least a 50% chance of cold showers, lightning, huge downbursts of wind everyday that time of year. That year, we sat out in the rain, on aluminum seats, for as long as we could take it then left after freezing our butts of. I even bought us some little rain suits, helped for a little while. First several years we went, really enjoyed it unless the weather dampened things. Last two times we went, the drunks were just absolutely unbearable. Daughter and boyfriend were setting several seats behind us, finally complained enough to security that they removed the drunks. As mentioned earlier, they are aluminum seats with backs and the group in front of us got to pushing back against the back of the seats so hard with the beat of the music, they were hitting my knees real hard.
I don't mind anybody drinking unless they drink to get drunk and then turn into real jerks. I know the sale of alcoholic beverages is a huge income to the event, but it has gotten ridiculous how they continue to sell it to drunks at CFD.
Used to enjoy the concerts, won't go back again. Still go, but just go to the rodeo and take the kids to the carnival rides and take in the exibits. | |
