Take a little time and examine where the connectors plug into the valve cover gaskets, if look rough, take off a valve cover, gasket acts as a connector between harness and under the cover harness. They do get bad over time. Amps from glow plugs mostly the problem. That model should have one connection per bank. IF bad, NAPA can get the under cover harness and gaskets and connector kits. Take longer to take off the ducting than to fix. I did that on my service truck over the winter. These connections also are the electronic signal to make the injectors fire.
