Southern Idaho | 1999 for powerstroke, will not start well, misses will eventually start, run 4-5 min. and die and not restart. here is what we have done so far,
changed cam position sensor
checked and rechecked oil reservoir to fuel inj. pump
unplugged batteries overnight to try to clear any codes
fuel pump on frame is working and del. fuel
i borrowed a small code reader and did not come up with anything, but dont know if it would read the diesel engine. it is our service pickup and out on the dry farm clear out at BFE, and starting harvest in about two days, any ideas? or know what kind of a code reader to buy? the service engine soon light stays on all the time.
