| Can a submerged pump be operated without a pressure tank and pressure switch? The pump is a 3/4hp impelller type in a 55ft well and would be used intermittently to water livestock and garden. Can the pump be on and the hydrant shut off and not damage the pump since it would be running for a short time. I assume the pump is not a positive displacement type and would be ok. What say you?
