talked to the tank place this morning. they will come out again and use a hydrolic concrete mix on the inside of tank seam, and bentonite clay around the leak on the outside. they will get it to pass inspection. some places must not be a fussy, as i am sure they would not sign off here on a leaky tank, even if the homeowner was ok with it.

i never thought of betonite.
