southern MN | It's out in the boonies, all small towns around it. So rooms - close rooms - are at a premium I'm sure. Jackpot Juntion Indian casino is 6 miles or so north of it with a big hotel, but bet it's booked? Probably room in New Ulm or that far around. (New Ulm is home for me...) All the little towns have small hotels, they are likely full with exhibitors, Sleepy Eye's hotel is always full of business pickups that week.....
It's all farming stuff, nothing but exhibits, a big deal for those of us up here, but sounds like some of the other shows in the lower states have a little more big corporate interest, the big names in machinery pretty much is on the backs of local dealers to stock a booth, won't get any new revilations or anything from corporate ag.
It's held on Gilfillan Estate, which was an original BTO in the 1800's here, 13,000 acre operation! They have a lot of demos and a few museum buildings of old-time machinery & farming & tools, so one can contrast the very new technology with the very old. http://redwoodcountyhistoricalsociety.com/gilfillan-estate/
It is a long day of walking if you want to cover both the new & the old sides in one day! Not sure if it's exciting enough to spend 2 or 3 days tho, depends what your version of exciting is. :)
