Iowa | Planted 16 acres P0210HR aquamax have in a field between 16 acres of P0987HR and P1395R all planted 4-20-12 They were planted at 32,500 population between a row malfuction and rootless corn all 3 ended up about 28-29000 overall. we have had some timely rains and amounts that have our corn looking pretty good, the periods were we were needing rain the aqua max looked to be maintaining itself a little better in both growth and color. Its standing about 6-8 inches above the other two numbers, Our corn has just started to show tassels within the last two days. depending on the next few days I will know alot more about everything. I think people might be expecting too much from these corns, no rain means no crop, you cant get by that with any plant, delayed or shorter amounts than normal of rain ,these corns may be a great thing. Overall even with the planting and root problems, and limited rain I have to say our crop looks to be good to excellant at this point. | |
