| I was thinking that earlier this week - would really stink if the early planted stuff got toasted during pollenation and the traditionally "normal" time would be after the heat. In NW Iowa the aerly planted stuff is poppong tassels - some of my 96 day corn was 3 leaves from tassel - putting it at July 7-10 for my stuff - still forecast for mid to upper 80's and we'll be dryer than where we are today but I wonder if some of the stragglers will be better off if we catch a rain and cool it down. | |
