PROSPECT, TENNESSEE | We have been lucky in my area, a very small one. We got around 5" the first of June, then another .6" close to mid month. We may make a corn crop but it sure has suffered the last week. I have some high ground that put on a good ear, but now it is falling, it has dried up this week. It smells like a hay field everywhere around here. All the single crop soy's are at R3/R4, some spots are actually dying in the field. Double crop soy's look excellent, I don't know how. They are the only chance for a "good" crop. Looks as if it don't rain, the cows will have to go, pastures going quick. I still feel fortunate, most around are worse off than me. | |
